We offer services to restore and enhance the appearance of the vaginal area, also known as vaginoplasty or cosmetic and aesthetic vaginal rejuvenation. This procedure resurfaces and tightens the tissues of the vulvar and vaginal area for a youthful appearance and function.
The vaginal tissue and muscles can become stretched from the effects of childbirth, aging, trauma, or genetics. Discomfort with intimate contact, rubbing, pulling, vulvar pain, and inability to wear certain clothing are results of labial enlargement. Dr. Jayasinghe’s innovative techniques are able to rejuvenate and reverse these effects.
We offer four different types of cosmetic surgeries to restore the features of the vaginal area:
With one or a combination of these operations, we’ll be able to address the features you’re most interested in enhancing.
Vaginal Rejuvenation (Vaginoplasty)
Dr. Jayasinghe uses the Ellman Surgitron Radio-frequency device to make exceptionally precise and minimally invasive incisions. Patients are usually able to walk comfortably within a few days and return to sexual activities within 4-6 weeks. Surgical risks are few, but may include: infection, bleeding, and scarring among other side effects. Going through childbirth is not a requirement to be a candidate for vaginoplasty, but rather someone with conditions that can be corrected by having the vaginoplasty procedure.
Labial Reduction (Labiaplasty)
There are many natural factors that can lead to excess skin or discoloration with the labia minora. And often women experiencing these symptoms may never consider treatments or alternatives. Labial Reduction, or labiaplasty, eliminates excess or uneven skin from the labia minora that can cause physical discomfort or insecurity in many women. It’s a simple procedure and can be done under local anesthetic in less than an hour.
The perineum is the visible area between the vagina and the rectum. This is where most cuts and tears occur during childbirth. Perineorrhaphy, also known as perineoplasty, creates a more normal appearance of the perineum region by removing excess skin, removing loose skin tags, and then suturing and tightening underlying muscles. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to perform.
Clitoral Hood Reduction
Excess skin on the sides of the clitoris may lead to the appearance of an enlarged or uneven clitoris. Genetics, estrogen, and testosterone exposure can create significant changes like these. Dr. Jayasinghe performs a very precise and minimally invasive surgery to excise the extra folds of skin laterally to the clitoris. The clitoris and its nerves stay untouched during this procedure, which takes approximately 30 minutes under local anesthesia.
